Supportive Sober Housing
Supportive Sober Housing

Supportive sober housing is meant to help you keep moving forward after addiction treatment, with structure and stability still around you. It’s a place to live and build independence while staying focused on recovery.

At Adaptive Care Network, we see supportive sober housing as part of the bigger picture. After spending time in treatment, having the right environment can make a real difference. Through our network, we help connect you to sober housing options that offer routine and a substance-free space, so you’re not figuring everything out on your own once you leave treatment.

What to Expect

What Is Supportive Sober Housing & Who It’s For

Supportive sober housing (or sober living) is a shared, substance-free home for people continuing recovery after alcohol or drug rehab. It’s designed for individuals who have completed addiction treatment and need a stable, recovery-focused place to live while transitioning back into everyday life.

This type of housing is often a good fit for people stepping down from inpatient or outpatient addiction treatment, detox, or another structured rehab program. It can also be helpful for those returning to work, school, or daily responsibilities who want to maintain sobriety in a supportive environment.

Unlike a addiction treatment center, supportive sober housing does not provide therapy or medical/clinical services. Instead, it focuses on creating structure and accountability after treatment. This often includes clear expectations around sobriety, regular check-ins, shared responsibilities, and daily routines that help support recovery after rehab.

At the same time, supportive sober housing offers more guidance than fully independent living. Residents live alongside others who are also focused on alcohol and drug recovery, which helps reinforce healthy habits and reduce isolation during this important post-treatment phase.

Living With Others in Recovery

I can’t say enough good things about the detox unit at Huntington Beach Recovery Center. My cousin had been struggling with drug and alcohol abuse for years until he found this place by the grace of God. The level of care they provide is truly outstanding. Their clients receive around-the-clock medical supervision from a team that is not only knowledgeable and professional, but also genuinely empathetic and compassionate. Truly impressive! As a recovering alcoholic, I know detox can be one of the most difficult and vulnerable parts of beginning the recovery process, and having a staff that makes people feel safe, respected, and cared for can make all the difference. My cousin just raves about the team at Huntington Beach Recovery Center and how they went above and beyond to provide such top-notch care and support for him throughout his entire detox process. I would highly recommend Huntington Beach Recovery Center to anyone looking for a safe, supportive, and compassionate environment to begin their journey toward recovery.

I went to this program last year. I was not an ideal patient. I was very angry and emotional in general. I had a lot of trauma and mental health issues that needed to be worked on which my clinician helped me work through. Danielle, the program director, was amazing and really helped me out during some pretty dark days for me there. I appreciate all that you guys do and I'm really grateful for all your help. God bless you guys
